Oracle CPQ Admin Tool

Last updated: August 19, 2026  ·  Chrome extension, unlisted distribution

This extension is an internal browsing companion for Oracle CPQ (BigMachines) administrators. This page explains, plainly, what it can see and what it never does with it.

01 What this extension does

Oracle CPQ Admin Tool opens as a full browser tab and gives administrators a faster way to browse configuration families, attributes, business rules, DataTables, and rule-performance diagnostics on their own Oracle CPQ (BigMachines) instance — the same data they already see inside CPQ's own admin screens, just organized for quicker review and export.

02 What it can access, and why

The extension requests access to *.bigmachines.com so it can read configuration data directly from the CPQ instance you type in — using your existing logged-in session, the same way the CPQ admin console itself does. It does not ask for your username or password; it never sees your credentials at all.

All requests go straight from your browser to your own CPQ instance. The extension has no server of its own, and nothing you view or export is ever sent anywhere else.

03 What's stored, and where

A small set of display preferences — accent color, font choice, and similar cosmetic settings — is saved in your browser's local storage, on your device only. Nothing is synced, uploaded, or shared. Uninstalling the extension removes it.

04 Permissions, explained

PermissionWhat it's for
host_permissions
https://*.bigmachines.com/*
The only permission this extension requests. It lets the tool read configuration, rule, and DataTable data from the CPQ instance you're logged into, using your existing session — this is the core of what the tool does. It's also what lets the extension notice a bigmachines.com tab you already have open, so the site field can fill itself in automatically.

05 No analytics, no third parties, no ads

The extension does not use analytics, tracking pixels, crash reporting services, or advertising of any kind. No data about you or your CPQ instance is collected, sold, or shared with any third party.

06 Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change with it. Meaningful changes will also be reflected in the extension's Chrome Web Store listing notes.
